Black fungus is announced as Viral Disease

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare asks all states of India to announce Black Fungus as a Viral disease.

This disease is caused by the fungus called mucor and also called mucormycosis.

It is mostly affected by the patients who are recovered from the Covid-19. 

It will become a deadly disease after covid-19 in this time. 

Most of the diabetes patients who recovered from corona are mostly affected by this disease.

Government of Tamil nadu declares black fungus as an disease and have published the necessary details about the disease . The anti-fungal drug Ampho B, which is commonly used for the treatment of the infection has suddently increased demands. 

 

 

The common symptoms include

• Sinusitis — nasal blockage or congestion, nasal discharge (blackish/bloody)
• Local pain on the cheekbone, one-sided facial pain, numbness or swelling
• Blackish discolouration over the bridge of nose/palate
• Loosening of teeth, jaw involvement
• Blurred or double vision with pain
  Thrombosis, necrotic skin lesion
  Chest pain, pleural effusion, worsening of respiratory symptoms

 Patients who have been discharged from hospital due to covid19 are more likely to get this disease .

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE , SO WEAR AND MASK AND STAY AT HOME
